Information about Strasbourg

Strasbourg is the ninth largest French city. It is the capital of its region which is called Alsace in northeastern France close to the border of Germany.

Strasbourg is the seat of several European institutions such as the council of Europe,the European court of human rights and the European parliament.

It is an important centre of manufacturing and engineering.

It has a very important port on the Rhin river.

Strasbourg is fused in to Franco-German culture.
