Target Nagpur was installed successfully by IPPNW's
Central India Students wing and IIPDEP. I'm glad to inform that we were
able to do whatever was expected out of this wonderful project. Use of
actual Hiroshima bombing photos from the Peace museum, which is
maintained by Dr.Kurvey had an extra impact on the civilians to pursue
the issue and to generate concern about a possible nuclear attack.
Students from two medical colleges took active participation for
engaging people in talks/discussions, providing information about
consequences of nuclear attack and explaining the photos to maximum
interested civilians. Overall atmosphere created was thought provoking
and making people to seriously think about the ways to make this world
a better and peaceful place free of nuclear weapons.
Dr.Nalini kurve and Mr.Balkrishna Kurve (president
IPPNW-CENTRAL INDIA) were great support and guiding authority to make
this event successful.
Rahul Agarwal, Navneet Singh, Abhijeet Pakhare and
Ujjwal Ramtekkar coordinated the event successfully. It was a very
happening month with National Conference, NWIP delegation, No more
Hiroshima-Nagasaki week and today's Target X for IPPNW Central India,
and I hope that this real groundwork will continue successfully.
Peace!
