Target
Livingstone - 06th of July, 2011
At the African
Regional meeting in Livingstone, Zambia, the students organized the
second African Target installation in order to show their solidarity
with the peopleof Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The participants organized the event on one of the busiest streets in
Livingstone in order to reach out to large crowd. As the medical
students and doctors drew attention
to the Target, a lot of people approached them to find out more.
Zambian state radio and Zambian National TV also reported. The IPPNW
Co-President Bob Mtonga and ICAN representative Ariel Denis were
interviewed and talked at length about the concept behind the Target
installation and why the
general public should join their voices for the Nuclear free world.
