How to get to Napoli

By bus

Take a look at the wonderful website of Eurolines Bus Services at www.eurolines.com in order to find the cheapest bus connection. This will be good if you are close to Italy anyways or coming from the Balkans.

By car

Napoli can be reached by car over the highway A1 / E45
and is approximately 800 km from the northern border. This might be a good option if travelling with a larger group, where you can car-share and divide the gas money.

By train

Go through your national train carrier and book a journeys with the EuroStar. Please keep in mind that there are often cheap deals and student rebates which you will only find out about if you ask specifically!

By plane

There are several options apart from the normal commercial airline carriers:

Germanwings, HLX and AirBerlin all fly daily to Roma Fiumicino, from where you can book direct train rides to Napoli (2 1/2 hours)

Ryanair, wizzair and
easyjet fly to Roma Ciampino, from where you can book direct train rides to Napoli (2 1/2 hours)

easyjet and HLX also fly directly to Napoli.

For more cheap airlines, check CheapFlights.co.uk

Additionally, there's Travel Overland, which is a good internet travel agency based in Germany

Please note to book your return flight for Monday, May 15th, as otherwise you will be missing the best part of the program, taking place on Sunday!!!

Napoli only has one airport (Capodichino), Rome has two airports (Fiumicino and Ciampino). Almost all the low cost airlines arrive at Ciampino Airport.

If you arrive to Capodichino Airport in Napoli, there are buses every 30 minutes to "Napoli-Piazza Garibaldi" (Central Station).

If you arrive at either Fiumicino or Ciampino Airport in Rome, you have to go with a bus or train to to "Roma Termini" train station and take a train to"Napoli Centrale" or, if possible, directly to "Napoli Mergellina".

You can find the timetables and the prices of the buses at http://www.adr.it/content.asp?SUBC=1675&L=3&IDMEN=731 About the trains, see the website
http://www.trenitalia.it/en/index.html (tickets should be around 10 Euro).

Once in "Napoli Centrale", you can take the Underground to "Mergellina"
It's Line No. 2 and the Ticket costs 1 Euro.
