Nuclear Weapons World Exhibition Tour
During Helsinki conference a group of students came up with an idea to start a world-wide exhibition tour on nuclear weapons. The tour will start in Hiroshima on the 6th of August 2007 and travel around the world. For each city that it visits, new materials will be added to the exhibition from the participants in that city. When the tour returns to Hiroshima on the 6th of August 2008, the exhibition will be considerably larger. We strive to get media attention for this exhibition. To make this exhibition tour possible we need as many participants from as many countries as possible.

Roadtrip in NATO-countries with nuclear weapons
Another idea that came up in Helsinki was to arrange roadtrips in NATO-countries in Europe that have nuclear weapons. A group of NWIP students could to travel by car from city to city in one of these countries (preferentially where the NW are located) and do workshops with students, Target X etc. to inform the public. There is a group of Swedish students interested in arranging this in Holland/Belgium.
Email wenjing-nwip+hotmail.com if you are interested in Holland/Belgium and we’ll get you in touch with the Swedish students.
Background: There are currently 5 NATO countries in Europe (apart from France and UK) with nuclear weapons on their soil — Belgium, Holland, Germany, Italy and Turkey. Greece used to have NATO nuclear weapons, but they were removed after protests from the people creating significant pressure. It is exactly this kind of public opinion that NWIP would like to help creating in the remaining five countries.
