- Oct 1 - 5, 2009: Training Weekend, Germany
About twenty students will come together in Aachen, Germany to build knowledge and skills in disarmament work, campaign building and dialogue techniques. We will be lucky enough to have presentations by Caecilie Buhmann, MD (IPPNW Regional Vice-President, Europe) and Xanthe Hall (nuclear weapons and disarmament consultant, IPPNW Germany) throughout the weekend. There will also be time to build connections with other students in countries around the world! (Sponsorship may be available to those who could not otherwise attend.)

Following on from the conference, former IPPNW International Student Rep (and NWIPer), Dr Ruth Mitchell, current NWIP co-coordinator, Misha Byrne, and Aki Morizono from IPPNW Head Office travelled to Srinagar, to meet with local Kashmiri medical students and discuss disarmament issues.
