Student Elections

 
A vibrant IPPNW student movement needs good leadership. That is why we want to call for nominations for the many positions we have to fill at the World Congress. If you think that there is some position you would be interested in and you could use to contribute to the student movement, or if you know someone who would, please don't hesitate to contact us at ippnw@web.de and let us know. Also contact us if you're interested but need more information regarding a position. We will then get in touch with you. There are no real conditions for any of these except an internet connection which is absolutely necessary to stay in touch and a lot of motivation. Here are the positions:
 

Student Representatives:

-Two IPPNW International Student Representatives (ISRs) to
    - coordinate the International Student Movement
    - represent the students on the Board of Directors and in the Executive Committee
    - help coordinate the international projects and national student chapters
    - help organize the International Student Congress in 2008

-Regional Student Representatives (RSRs) for the seven regions to
    -coordinate student activity in the region
    -stay in contact with the ISRs and the NSRs in order to improve communication amongst students
    -stay in contact with the Regional Vice Presidents in order to imrpove student-physician cooperation

Information Coordinators:

-One or two Website Administrators to
    -manage the IPPNW student website
    -stay in contact with the ISRs and RSRs in order to get material for the website
    -work on the web-design and the content management
    -some knowledge of FTP required, nothing more, however


-e-pulse editors to
    -collect and write articles for the bimonthly student e-zine "e-pulse"
    -research issues pertinent to the student movement and report about them
    -work on the web-design of the e-zine and the promotion



Project Coordinators:

-MedEx project coodinator(s) to
    -stay in touch with the MedEx host countries in order to facilitate placement
    -attempt to raise funds for this project locally and internationally
    -receive and review the applications and forward them to the hosts

-SPARC project coordinator(s) to
    -help new student groups start activities
    -coordinate efforts to spread the word about IPPNW at conferences, etc.
    -be responsible for promoting a growth of student involvement
    -develop new ideas for attracting students to IPPNW

-One Bullet Stories coordinator (s) to
    -help students and physicians in Latin America, Africa and thr US to write One Bullet Stories
    -promote this project and work closely with the Small Arms Campaign
