Flashmobs
In order to wake up the
public to the fact that nuclear weapons are still around and still pose
a danger to their health, we used the tool of a flashmob. A few weeks
in
advance, we informed local anti-nuclear groups, students and political
parties in order to gain local support. We then gathered on a large
public square and at a set time, collapsed simultaneously as if struck
by an unseen force. With this action, we mean to demonstrate the fact
that as long as nuclear weapons are still around, every city is a
potential "Target". But cities should not be targets! That is why we
try to get a broad public discussion about the need to abolish nuclear
weapons and to create a Nuclear Weapons Free Zone in Europe - as a
first rational step towards to world free of nuclear weapons. For more
